Twenty translucent cubes in ten soft pastel colors, two of each. Held to the window they turn the light rosy and pale; on a light table they mix into new shades wherever two overlap.

One inch on every side, so they line up, stack square, and slip into the openings of Bauspiel's Plus, Grid and X blocks. A gentle set for counting, color naming and quiet building.

Cast translucent acrylic cubes, made in China. Quality-checked and shipped from Augsburg, Germany.

20 cubes, 2 each in 10 pastel colors, about 1 × 1 × 1 in (2.5 cm) each.

Safety

Ages 3+. WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD. Small parts. Not for children under 3 yrs. The 1 in cubes fit the small parts cylinder. Tested to EN 71 and CE marked.

Care & storage

Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soapy water, then dry. Avoid disinfectants and hot water, which can cloud acrylic. Store in the tray or box so pieces do not scratch against each other.

Bauspiel Bauspiel is Uwe Deckelmann and his daughter Hanna. 'Bauspiel' means 'building game' in German, and the line grows out of Friedrich Fröbel's kindergarten tradition of simple forms that ask nothing and allow everything. The wood is native European lime, alder and beech, with maple and cherry from sustainable cultivation, colored and oiled so the grain stays visible and the soul of the wood remains perceptible. The acrylic and gems come from Taiwan or China. Everything is quality-checked and shipped from Augsburg, Germany.
